ARMK engineered coalescing plates and baffles help to generate organized flow patterns and induce coalescence of liquid phases improving separation in separators gravity section.
They allow to optimize Free Water Knock Outs, three-phase separators and API wastewater separators. They are indicated to improve the performance of existing equipment.
Greater efficiency
ARMK Coalescing Plates promote droplet coalescence in each of the phases favoring separation. Liquid-liquid separation is based on Stokes' law. Coalescence operate on one of its factors: it increases droplet diameter.
They reduce stream mixing within the separator body and help stabilize outlet quality.
The Free Water Knock Out, three-phase separators, API pools and other equipment that incorporates this technology can be smaller. Droplet Coalescing Plates are also a great option for existing equipment boosting.
Greater economy and simplicity
A simpler and more economical alternative is Special Baffles, which are part of the ARMK Internals design line. Baffles bring flow distribution and reduce wave formation at the gas-liquid interface. They also possess the capability to induce coalescence.
